Lorrayne Hughes, Chief Executive Officer, was delighted to welcome Jan Renou, Regional Schools Commissioner for the North, and Katherine Cowell, Interim Director for the Regional School Commissioner’s Office, to CET’s Secondary Academies in West Cumbria.
At Workington Academy, Jan and Katherine met with the Headteacher, Des Bird. They had a tour of the school and watched some great student performances.
At The Whitehaven Academy, Jan and Katherine met with the Interim Headteacher, Andrea Bateson. They had lunch with the Senior Leadership Team, a tour of the school, and they heard about the vision for the new school build. This finished with a performance from the award winning Rock Challenge team.
