Caldew Lea Primary School is a school very much at the heart of the local community it serves. It has a long and proud tradition of educating and inspiring the children of west Carlisle. The Trustees are seeking to employ two outstanding teachers who are creative, dynamic, highly motivated and committed to improving the life chances of children.
Caldew Lea became part of the Cumbria Education Trust in the Autumn Term 2019; it is led with shared vision, honesty and purpose. Caldew Lea is a rapidly improving school with an exciting future; we are committed to creating a vibrant, innovative and inspiring learning environment which maximises the potential of our children and community. The successful candidate will be joining Caldew Lea at an exciting time, as we continue to build on our recent successes and move forward on our journey to establish ourselves as one of the highest performing schools in our local area.

We are looking for two committed and dynamic class teachers to join us in September, one of a fixed term basis and one on a permanent basis.

Please state your curriculum strengths in your application letter – experience of qualified teaching across a range of age groups would be highly advantageous. Year group allocations for September have not yet been finalised and may be subject to change due to internal requirements; applicants should state their key stage/year group strengths in their application letters; thereafter year group allocation for September 2021 for the successful candidates are at the Headteacher’s discretion.
