Early Careers Teachers
Primary and Secondary Opportunities

Are you currently completing your teaching training and looking for your first teaching post?
Cumbria Education Trust is a successful and growing family of schools that work together to improve the life chances of all its children and young people. As such we are looking to appoint a number of exceptional and motivated Early Careers Teachers (ECT) across our primary and secondary schools who share our values and are driven to provide the best possible teaching and learning opportunities for pupils.
Secondary Opportunities:
Specific posts are available based within William Howard School (Brampton, Carlisle) in the following subject disciplines:
- Maths
- Computer Science
- Geography
- MFL (Spanish with French)
Opportunities are also potentially available within our West Coast Academies based at Workington and Whitehaven with applications invited within the core subject disciplines of:
- English
- Maths
- the Sciences
- MFL
Primary Opportunities:
Opportunities are available across our primary settings based within Carlisle and its surrounding areas, Eden and the West Coast.

As a pilot and early adopter of the Early Career Framework we have a dedicated team with extensive experience of supporting new entrants to teaching through this framework and onto a successful teaching career.
