Session 1
Changes in the attendance landscape
19th March 2025 – 3.45pm to 4.45pm
The session will focus on policy, strategies and resources used within Northern Education Trust and Cumbria Education Trust. A large focus of the session will be exploring the videos and resources, and updating policies and practises in light of the most recent attendance guidance. Attendees will be given a password to the attendance hub website.
Session 2
Structures and strategic planning
30th April 2025 – 3.45pm to 4.45pm
In this session, Cumbria Education Trust staff will present support systems and staffing structures in place to raise attendance. The session will be a 20-30 minute presentation and 20-30 minute Q&A session. Schools should reflect upon the resources provided in session one and share initial thoughts.
Session 3
Attendance and inspection
21st May 2025 – 3.45pm to 4.45pm
This session will focus on attendance in the new Ofsted framework, which will be implemented from September 2025. The session will focus on preparing schools for changes to the upcoming inspection regime.
Session 4
Culture and climate
2nd July 2025 – 3.45pm to 4.45pm
This session will focus on the culture and climate of Cumbria Education Trust academies and how they improve attendance. The session will focus on interaction and the praise culture within academies. This will take the form of a 20 minute presentation and 10 minute Q&A session. The remainder of the session will be covered by a school within the Cumbria Attendance Project sharing initial findings from project implementation.
