 After School Club Play Leader

Start date: As soon as possible

12.5hrs Per week, term time only 38 weeks

Temporary until 19 July 2023

Salary: Grade 4 £21,575 fte

Actual Salary: £6094.67 per annum 

Yewdale Primary School are seeking to appoint an After School Club Play Leader to lead our thriving after school provision.  We are looking for someone who is energetic, passionate and enthusiastic to join our friendly, motivated and supportive team.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who:

  • Has a passion for working with pupils.
  • Is able to lead the day to day organisation of the After School Club
  • Is able to pass on correspondence to teachers from parents/carers and vice versa.
  • Is able to create a safe, welcoming and friendly environment delivering high quality creative play opportunities embracing each child’s individual needs, unique qualities and personalities.
  • Is able to liaise with the school with regard to the needs of the children who attend the After School Club.
  • Is able to liaise with parents to encourage parental involvement and support through the development of effective working relationships, providing professional and relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child.
  • Is able to provide care, play opportunities and activities in a homely and nurturing environment, with regard to the individual development needs of the children and age ranges of children.
  • Fully supports inclusive practice and ensures that all children can be involved in the activities offered if they wish.
  • Is able to consult and liaise with the children and involve them in the planning of activities.
  • Is able to ensure the After School Club learning journey is completed and accurately maintained.
  • Is able to ensure appropriate planning is in place to maintain the required standards, ensuring that the relevant equipment and resources are available, consulting with the Leadership Team when necessary.
