The Whitehaven Academy Rock Challenge team took part in the Global Rock Challenge 2019 Northern Premier Final over the weekend. They secured second place in the final and also were awarded for:

- Choreography
- Visual enhancement
- Entertainment
- Drama
- Performance skill
- Soundtrack
- Stage use
