Yanwath Primary School is celebrating after being named Primary School of the Year at the 2026 Cumbria Awards.
The award recognises the school’s strong sense of community, commitment to pupils, and the wide range of opportunities it provides both inside and outside the classroom.
Since joining Cumbria Education Trust in 2017, Yanwath has continued to grow while remaining firmly rooted in village life. The school is known for its caring ethos, vibrant curriculum, and focus on helping every child feel supported, valued and inspired to succeed.
This latest achievement is a celebration of the whole Yanwath community, including pupils, staff, families and everyone who supports the school.
