As part of our annual My Money Week competition across the Trust, we have this year teamed up with Carlisle Lake District Airport. http://www.carlisleairport.co.uk/
Carlisle Lake District Airport will be running their first flights for passengers at the beginning of July and have asked if students/pupils can design an item that symbolises what having the airport will mean to Cumbria. The winning design could be a person, landmark, historic moment or could symbolise the amount of extra tourism that will happen as a result e.g. weddings in the lakes.
The winners design will be made into an item that will be given to the first 100 passengers and in order to do this in time to make the item, the competition is starting a bit earlier this year. The winners and their families will also be invited to the opening of the Airport and given a tour and meal as well as going to view the Air Traffic Control Tower.
The Cumberland Building Society have sponsored the event in relation to prize money with the winner gaining a £100 Junior ISA and the runners up £50 Junior ISA’s from the other schools.
Please find attached a copy of the competition form. The deadline is Friday, 7 June 2019 and the winners will be judged by the Airport Team.
