We are delighted to celebrate our Be The Best You Can Be Week 2025 across Cumbria Education Trust – a vibrant, week-long celebration that shines a spotlight on the strengths, talents and values of our students, staff, and school communities.

Now a much-anticipated tradition in the CET calendar, this special week is all about empowering young people to stretch themselves – academically, physically, socially, and emotionally – in line with our core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience. It’s a time for students to step outside their comfort zones, challenge themselves, support one another, and most importantly, be proud of who they are and what they can achieve.

Throughout the week, all staff are encouraged to champion these values by helping students bring their best selves to school each day – whether that’s through excellent attendance, strong learning behaviours, acts of kindness, or a willingness to take on new challenges.

This year’s programme was full of fantastic events taking place across our schools: from talent shows and student-led takeovers to curriculum challenges, innovation projects, fundraising activities, and community celebrations. These events showcase the incredible breadth of creativity, ambition and teamwork within our Trust, and you can see the fantastic highlights below.

From 7th to 11th July, we challenged all of our pupils across CET to go above and beyond in all that they do!

They could:

⭐ Push themselves to achieve their goals

💯 Challenge themselves to aim even higher

😃 Express themselves in the best way possible

🎉 Celebrate the success of themselves and others

Alongside this, we challenged all staff, pupils and families to complete the CET Mile during this week. Whether indiviudally or as a group, in school or at home, we were impressed by how many people engaged in active challenge!
