The Queen Katherine School Celebrates Strong Ofsted Report

The Queen Katherine School, part of Cumbria Education Trust, is celebrating following its recent Ofsted inspection, which recognised the school’s inclusive culture, ambitious vision and commitment to ensuring every young person succeeds and judged the school to be strong in 5/7 areas.

Inspectors praised the welcoming environment at the school, where pupils feel happy, safe and valued and are inspired to be successful in all that they do.

The published report is filled with positive reflections about the school’s work, with inspectors highlighting:

“The school successfully encourages pupils to feel ‘proud to belong’.”

“Students have high aspirations.”

“Pupils feel happy, safe and valued in this friendly school.”

Inspectors also recognised the school’s commitment to inclusion, noting the extensive support available to pupils and the positive impact this has on both academic achievement and wellbeing.

The report highlights the broad and ambitious curriculum, strong attendance and behaviour, high-quality sixth form provision and the rich variety of opportunities available to pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

Inspectors also praised the leadership of the school and the support provided through Cumbria Education Trust, recognising the shared ambition to ensure pupils flourish academically and personally.
