Ten years ago, Cumbria Education Trust was founded with a simple but powerful belief: that education transforms lives.

What began as a leap into the unknown, with uncertainty and risk, has grown into a community of 17 schools, thousands of young people, and dedicated staff, governors, families, and partners who work together to ensure every child has the best possible start in life.

Along the way, we have turned struggling schools into flourishing ones, built systems that put children first, and created a culture of collaboration, support, and ambition.

The journey has not always been easy, but it has been driven by perseverance, integrity, and the conviction that together we achieve more.

In September 2025, we celebrate ten years of impact. Our mission is clear: to move from good to great, striving for excellence every day, for every child, while keeping inclusion and the joy of childhood at the heart of all we do.
