Students from across Cumbria Education Trust (CET) came together at the University of Cumbria for an inspiring and impactful Student Leadership Day.

The event brought together representatives from every CET school, providing a valuable opportunity for students to collaborate, share ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions about leadership. Throughout the day, students worked purposefully in mixed-school groups, demonstrating excellent teamwork and communication skills.

A key focus of the event was planning for the upcoming annual “Be the Best You Can Be” Week. Students actively contributed thoughtful ideas, presenting and refining their plans to take back to their schools. They also explored the core vision and values of being a CET Student Leader, developing creative proposals for future projects across schools, communities, and the wider Trust.

The day highlighted the passion, creativity, and commitment of CET students. Their contributions will play an important role in shaping student leadership initiatives over the coming year.

All participants were outstanding ambassadors for their schools and the Trust, and we extend our thanks to both students and staff for making the event such a success.
