This academic year has brought a pace of national change rarely experienced by schools all at once. Curriculum, assessment, post-16 pathways, inspection, and inclusion policy are all shifting simultaneously.
Across Cumbria and beyond, we are proud to be playing an active role in strengthening the wider education system. Through collaboration, expert guidance, strategic partnerships and shared ambition, CET continues to support schools, teachers and trainees in ways that help improve attendance, raise standards and enhance opportunities for young people. This work reflects our commitment to making a positive difference not only within our own Trust, but across the region.
Our pupils and staff deserve disruption-free learning. But, like all schools, we know this does not happen every day. Sometimes behaviour gets in the way of learning.
Anti-Bullying Week, 10 to 14 November, and World Kindness Day, 13 November, offered a perfect opportunity for pupils and staff to celebrate compassion, individuality, and the importance of speaking up.
